256 Pi I don't typically listen to rock music this straightforward, but as someone who's been following Fully Involved for a minute now this is his strongest work yet. Really solid production & songwriting, occasionally hitting pretty close to home with its subject matter. Hard to choose a fav track too since it's really consistent. Favorite track: Paralyzed (Anew).

Listenā€¦ Iā€™ve willed extroversion Out of utter desperation Therapy of immersion Just to fix my situation Ooh ā€“ got me least sayinā€™ I wanna befriend ya Ooh ā€“ beat yourself up, I wanna defend ya [Chorus] Well Iā€™m in hot social pursuit Sheā€™s dressed up to the nines in her Vedder suit I-I gotta find her, I gotta relate Whatever you got, lemme compensate You donā€™t dance, well neither do I, yeah We can watch the animals from the side, yeah We got our own definition of fun Find our own private oblivion Ooh ā€“ hide in your shell, ainā€™t gotta confide, yeah Ooh ā€“ but poke yourself out, youā€™re one of a kind, yeah [Chorus 2x] [Verse 2] [Chorus 2x]

Dopamine 02:46
Chorus 1: Dopamine, Iā€™m a fiend, not a lot I can do Unforeseen, just a hit from talking to you Dopamine, shoot me clean, gimme anything new Make a scene & Iā€™ll give you anything too I tried to leave it on the stage Donā€™t deserve to give anymore Light from the curtain poked again You demanded an encore I know, you know, you know I know my moves Knock me down like dominoes & build it up with glue Weā€™ll see what stays secure (Chorus 1) Chorus 2: Anything you see thatā€™ll keep you staring Anything you need, try to satisfy Anything you keep in the corner of your eye So Iā€™m not just a passerby I want to know the scales of your blues Drop me like an atom bomb & through a steady noose Weā€™ll see how I endure (Chorus 1 2x) (Chorus 2) Anything you see thatā€™ll keep you staring Anything you need, try to satisfy Anything you keep in the corner of your eye So you never wanna say goodbye
3.
Wait no donā€™t go We just started having fun Know Iā€™m the type that couldnā€™t hurt anyone How could I know About the malfunction The programmed talking points would get overdone Wait no donā€™t go Look at my wheels, how theyā€™ve spun You know the party here has only begun Letā€™s take it slow On all the sloppy come-ons Letā€™s intermediate and banter til dawn Donā€™t get up please, Iā€™m your puppy Iā€™m so friendly, please donā€™t end me Youā€™re so charming, Iā€™m disarming Made my year, you smell the fear, you disappear Wait no donā€™t go Look at my wheels, how theyā€™ve spun You know the party here has only begun Hey did you know I got a really mean pun Itā€™s coming atcha in 3ā€¦2ā€¦1 Donā€™t get up please, Iā€™m your puppy Iā€™m so friendly, please donā€™t end me Your face looming, all-consuming You look back, ā€œwas nice to talk, I gotta walkā€ Wait no donā€™t go I guess I'll go (Repeat) (Couldnā€™t hurt anyone, the talking points got overdone) (Look at how far Iā€™ve spun, the party hereā€™s only begun) (Youā€™re charming, Iā€™m disarming, lie awake, ask whatā€™s alarming) (Youā€™re looming, all-consuming, need to fake that love is blooming)

The Cover 03:28
Your jacket sports a photograph impossible to pass Cuts like glass, that expression warm & kind The other sideā€™s a face thatā€™s brought out famous crowds en masse Stop to ask, how much of what Iā€™ve bought is blind Got time to fall through rabbit holes & fall in love somehow Got nothing in the present, so Iā€™ll fall back on you now Then gather me some sanity, as much as is allowed I judged you by the cover and Iā€™m thrilled with what Iā€™ve found Your sleeveā€™s frayed at the edges in a faded red and green A time machine, easy to romanticize And underneath, those inked-up phrases on loneliness and greed Bring out the need, to lay down & empathize Now look at what Iā€™ve done, look what Iā€™ve done to your songs I hung my head & sung as if you heard me sing along And as those six strings rung, hope youā€™re impressed no notes were wrong I judged you by the cover, only wanting to belong Your peers lived folklore lives designed for documentaries Societyā€™s hooked on what's on the marquee The TV brought you questions as you stumbled in your seat Assuringly, feeling the same nerves as me Born to be at different points in timeā€™s natural flow Pointless to plot it, but donā€™t let this ego know The wine left over rotted half a century ago I judged you by the cover, seems a lovely place to go Iā€™ve dug through all the rabbit holes; theyā€™re hollowed out for good Every stop, get a little more charmed than I should Does this align beyond this record playerā€™s busted wood?
5.
Horton Hess 02:34
Horton Hess was getting blessed down at the old space station His new ejection seats were testing all the spacemenā€™s patience ā€œThis could change the game,ā€ he said ā€œFor the couch on the ship that bears your nameā€ And in the end, the mission hit its aim Horton Hess was getting rest, but nothing could be taken His role, he guessed, barely addressed, but earned him that vacation And when his family Saw the trial-and-error footage on their TV Their eyes were treated to a brutal scene Oh with all that youā€™d supplied Oh, you know without that seat Neil couldā€™ve died And all that youā€™d provide From the blueprints to the breakfasts spent The in-jokes from the government That made up all the aliens It meant something Horton Hess was moving west with so much left to faze him Leftover stress left all the progress crumpled in the waste bin ā€œDid I change the game?ā€ he said ā€œDo those old coots now still think Iā€™m insane?ā€ So Horton laid his legacy to rest In the arms of those who knew how those seats would pass their test
6.
Exhibit Z 03:16
Another oneā€™s gone up to their lord No one couldā€™ve guessed this time So put another Sharpie to the board And draw another line It took a part of me I curse this annually They left a legacy As our exhibit Z Another oneā€™s gone in some accident No one couldā€™ve guessed their fate But in the crossfire of neglect, some turned away & down they went If only weā€™d negotiate We want an elegy To their humanity But weā€™ve only got room to breathe If theyā€™re exhibit Z Cause an identical string of "RIP"s Comes less from your heart & more Ctrl+V Go & stake your claim in this news story For about 5 minutes of history For the next 5 minutes of history
7.
Did you hear about the one with the ship left at sea? It ran on old fumes & brutal honesty So Murphy, can you hurry, got a prophecy To foretell And did you hear about the drama about a ship torn asunder? This hushed and repressed old angst-laced hunger This mightā€™ve been cute at a decade younger But they can't tell [Chorus] They can't tell, they can't tell Got no right to raise no hell Just wrong place, wrong time, wrong face, wrong mind, wrong call So give me room to ruminate and block up the aisle The trip of a meter can reroute to a mile My friends can walk through if I can reconcile But they can't tell Strolled up to the bar & by happenstance You leaned next to a guy who you knew at first glance Told me ā€œfind a cute girl & ask her to danceā€ Must not sell How I was in the picture, but I was never seen Said ā€œokayā€ with a mutter as my stomach turned green Drove 10 miles to this club through a spiderwebbed screen But they can't tell [Chorus] So I remember the costumes and the tossed-off remarks All the blinding strobe lights that toss you into the dark Now just take her advice & find the next spark Cause they canā€™t tell They can't tell And you won't tell Oh, so they can't tell
8.
Cold Blood 03:36
Come get just a little closer You could change my mind Straight from black to white What I wouldnā€™t give to know ya Quell my fears tonight Calcify them in light With a dependable streak thatā€™d leave anyone weak Cause nobody could tend to that anchor at their feet So, no one qualifies & it canā€™t be recognized That the hardest part of letting someone inā€™s when they retreat [Chorus] Cause this cold blood Changes with the weather With these earthly tethers In this cold blood Just send in the letter Just canā€™t take the pressure anymore In a flash, in a week In a day or sideways blink A recorded log of wins thrown in the fires of defeat In the moment, the heat In the room where we meet Marks the metric ā€˜tween an evolved man & clueless scaley freak [Chorus] Come get just a little closer You could change my mind
9.
Door clicks shut, in sync with my first step Moon hangs in there 70% full Theyā€™ve been hurt & Iā€™ve warned But canā€™t break a heart thatā€™s never formed Still I hold out hope, on the bus to this event, cold Door clicks shut when I step back in Should get back to the plans Iā€™d penned, but [Chorus] Now Iā€™m paralyzed, you donā€™t even have to be in the room To wanna empathize, with every little thing that keeps you in tune And when you turn around & analyze mine too Hope they synchronize & start anew, with you Saying ā€œhiā€ as if a close peer A meeting like that renders a man sincere From the tears at the fear of living in stone To the ones at the thought of you finding this song In its infancy, before itā€™d be worth your ears So hung up on how we connect That solely how I recollect Is enough to leave me stuck To leave me positively wrecked, and [Chorus] Iā€™ll remain adrift until We meet again, to lift, aim & kill All the doubts we conjure up Once you slyly interrupt To ask a followup That mutual little thrill And now Iā€™m paralyzed Now Iā€™m paralyzed You donā€™t even have to be in the room And when you turn around & analyze mine too Hope they synchronize & start anew, with you And start anew, with you And start anew, with you
10.
I got a big hangnail & a dark red drip A tissue twisted tight around my fingertip Moral of the riddle, moved on from the middle Stuck now to chewing on the ring And so I, chewed through the mask I use for my friends I tore through the nails so I can show off the skin Iā€™m waxing chaotic to my nerve endings And I can't wait to give it a name [Chorus] I canā€™t wait to give it a name I canā€™t wait to give it a name I got shame cause itā€™s harder to tame And I canā€™t wait to give it a name I got some new instructions & theyā€™re harder to read A condition with a long-expired warranty Trudging through the typos, sick of getting psycho Stuck scrambling for a new routine And so I, never know where to throw this heart I wanna save your life, I wanna play that part I wanna punch ten holes in your customer card And I canā€™t wait to give it a name [Chorus 2x] A 5th grade diagnosis with some 10th grade angst Gimme 15 alone to retract in the fangs My teeth are all gritting, while yours are shit-eating And Iā€™m stuck gnashing out all the pain And so I, put stock in folks I only perceived As the checkbox from what I willed on New Yearā€™s Eve And I got the golden rule as my one pet peeve And I canā€™t wait to give it a name [Chorus 2x]
